Galatians 6:14

But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Being Real

Dear Friends,

It has been such a long time since I have blogged, and I apologize. God has been doing a work in my heart, and I am so excited to share it with you!

As I learn the way of Gods, He continually shows me myself, which makes me cry with tears of shame, but also of much gratitude to my God, who loves me so much. I want to be real and be able to both relate with you and encourage you.

I have been "studying" the life of David, whom God called a man after His own heart. David was truly a man after God's heart, yet he was a liar, adulterer, and murderer! So how could God accept him and love his as His friend? He loved him because David walked in the ways of the Lord, though at times he strayed, his heart remained true and faithful to the Lord Almighty all his life. Which brings me to my point- all of us have struggles, yet God loves us with a passion!

So let me be real with you, I have so many struggles! Some of these struggles are (and don't end here, though!) living in fear, carelessness, discontentment, discouragement, and being fast. In all honesty, there are certain activities I don't do after dark because I'm afraid of what might happen. Being careless in how I take care of my responsibilities, how clean my room stays, and all the various otherwise menial tasks that I may do on a daily basis. For me being fast includes a hint of laziness, for example: its cold outside and I only want to make one trip inside, I would take a whole armful, usually more than even my weight, but end up dropping the stuff and breaking an expensive thing or two. As long as we are human and have breath in our earthly bodies, we will continue to sin, that is just a fact of our sin nature! But we are in Christ, and oh, what a glorious place to be!

I don't want to just ramble on, but I am sharing them with you so that you might be encouraged to not give up, but continue to pursue the Lord Jesus Christ with every ounce of your being. He is there, and He DOES love you more than you will ever know! How amazing is He?!

So what work has God been doing on my heart? Well, it's ok if I have struggles, but He is helping me to have victory day by day, though the work of the Holy Spirit. He has been pouring out His love on me to the overflow! He is drawing me closer and closer to His beautiful heart, and showing me glimpses of who He is. He is wooing me, as a lover. A friend He is, but so much more! He is the Love of my life! When I begin to get discouraged that my walk does not seem to be getting deeper and deeper, He reveals just a bit more of Himself, and I'm convinced He is telling me that "Yes, my love, you are drawing deeper and deeper into My heart!"

Let me leave you with a challenge: Let's let go of our struggles and the sin that so easily ensnares us, and fall straight into and be consumed with the Lover of our souls!

So, my dear friends, I pray that you have been encouraged! I would love to answer any questions that you might have or if you just want to give me some input, please e-mail me or leave me a comment!

Only and Forever His,
Charity
